Mindfulness Quotes from Philosophers 2021

by | Aug 12, 2021 | Quotes

Mindfulness is something you have to put the work in everyday fro. Sometimes I am in need of a boost or reminder of why I am creating these habits and pathways of thought. Quotes help me re-center and ground myself to focus on my goals. Here are a few of my favorites from philosophers on mindfulness.

Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are travelling the dark journey with us. Oh be swift to love, make haste to be kind.
Henri Frederic Amiel

“Just as our eyes need light in order to see, our minds need ideas in order to conceive.

Nicolas Malebranche

Do every act of your life as though it were the very last act of your life.”
Marcus Aurelius

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit”

Aristotle

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.

Epictetus

“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Aristotle

“When you replace ‘why is this happening to me?’ to ‘what is this trying to teach me?’ everything shifts.”
